This past summer, a new online magazine launched for adults on the Autism spectrum. Based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Autism United Southeast magazine provides insightful stories of older people who are on the spectrum and tips from individuals with the condition about surviving daily life. The magazine is also a pen pal exchange for those in search of long-distance friends with Aspergers.
Although the magazine is run strictly on a volunteer basis, which means that one would be writing for this publication for free, Autism United Southeast is an excellent first step for those on the spectrum who are looking to break into freelance writing and need examples for their portfolio. The link to the quarterly magazine can be found here.
