Cutting Back

By Aaron Tanner

· End of the Year,Schedules,Employment,Disability,Aspergers

For those who have been keeping up with the Rocket City Notebook, I am currently juggling running work in the mornings at the dental lab, working on the company newsletter and writing for Alabama Living. In addition, I am trying to stay in shape by exercising at the gym, and I will be going out of town at least two times before the end of the year.

I must confess it has not been easy to keep up with everything. On top of that, I have had sleep issues. My insomnia may be a sign that I have reached my limit.

Although I do not want my Aspergers to limit as far as what I can handle, I, along with others, forget that I have a disability and that I need extra time for maintaining my health along with downtime to unwind from the day.

Due to my hectic schedule between now and the end of the year, I have decided to cut back on how often I post on The Rocket City Notebook from now until the end of December. I will still share thoughts and other posts related to Asperger Syndrome. However, the posts will come whenever I can get around to writing one vs. writing every week like I have been doing.

I hope that everyone understands the changes I must make to keep my physical and mental health in check. Meanwhile, feel free to read and comment on the other blogs on The Rocket City Notebook.

Have you ever had to cut back activities due to Aspergers or another disability? Comment in the section below.
